The state of Iowa provided Sean Joseph Barry with a law license in 2008 after he graduated from Drake University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Sean guilty of engaging in the following misconduct

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on her fitness to practice law
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Seanby gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
