Attorney Dennis Mathahs of Marengo, IA; cheating loser

The state of Iowa provided Dennis R. Mathahs with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from Drake University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Denny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which related to his contract with the State Public Defender.

  • Charged an unreasonable fee (cheater)
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on the his fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Denny by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Denny fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mathahslaw.com. Apparently, Denny opted to conceal this information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2021), Denny practices his brand of law at 1001 Court Avenue in Marengo, Iowa.
