The state of Michigan presented C. Michael Gorte with a law license in 1971 after he graduated from the Wayne State University School of Law.

The Tri-Valley Hearing Panel #1 found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Neglected client’s divorce matter
• Mishandled his trust account
• Neglected a legal matte entrusted to him
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $77 6.30.   

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Mikey practices his so-called brand of law with C. Michael Gorte PC at 918 North Water Street in Bay City, Michigan.
