Attorney Arturo Cefra of Philippines; slacker, loser

The Philippine Supreme Court provided Arturo B. Cefra with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from the University of the Philippines School of Law.

The Committee on Bar Discipline found Arturo guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in negligence in handling client’s case
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of his case
  • Failed to comply with the two orders of the RTC directing him to submit a formal offer of documentary evidence
  • Failed to file an appropriate motion or appeal, or avail of any remedial measure to contest the RTC’s decision
  • Failed to file an appropriate motion or appeal, or avail of any remedial measure to contest the RTC’s decision which was adverse to his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Republic of the Philippines Supreme Court punished Arturo by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license and a warning that similar conduct in the future would be dealt with more severely.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Arturo practices his brand of law in Sison, Pangasinan, Philippines.
