Attorney Patrick Michenfelder of St. Michael, MN; ethical misfit

The state of Minnesota presented Patrick William Michenfelder with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Patty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Entered into contingency fee agreements that were not signed by his clients
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Made aggregate settlements on behalf of two client without the clients providing informed consent in writing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Patty by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed investigative costs of $900.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Patty fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.tmlawmn.com.  Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective client for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2022), Patty practices his so-called brand of law with Throndset Michenfelder at 1 Central Avenue in St. Michael, Minnesota.
