Attorney William Janney of Baton Rouge; drunken convict

The state of Louisiana presented William F. Janney with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from Louisiana State University School of Law.

The Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Committed a criminal act adversely reflecting on his honesty and trustworthiness
  • Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Billy.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Billy practices his brand of law at 15257 Campanile Court in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
