The state of Iowa provided Edward Mansfield with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Yale University School of Law.

Former Gov. Terry Branstad was duped into appointing Eddie as an Associate Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court in 2011. Eddie didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney or judge in Iowa. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks

In one matter, Eddie decided it was appropriate to reinstate the law license of attorney Jason Arthur Springer who was convicted of seven (7) counts of bank fraud.

Apparently, Eddie is of the opinion that Mr. Springer has a constitutional right in Wisconsin to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

And lastly, if Eddie was employed as the CEO of Fidelity Bank & Trust, do you think he would even consider hiring Mr. Springer to manage Fidelity’s branch at 201 South Frederick in Oelwein, Iowa.

As we speak (ca. August 2021), Eddie continues to dispense his so-called brand of jurisprudence as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Iowa.
