Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE): Today’s “Loony Buffoon” Award Winner

Jeff succeeded in duping Nebraska voters into electing him as a member of the U.S. Senate in November 2004.

In an effort to cement his status as right wing loon and monumental buffoon (my sincerest apologies to buffoons), Jeff decided to mock the attempts by Trump supporting insurrectionists to overturn the presidential election returns when they stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

Towards that end, Jeff engaged in the following loony conduct.

• Made two false calls for emergency help from U.S. Capitol Police
• Made the phony calls to see how long it would take them to arrive
• Told Capitol Police he wanted to test the duress button in his office

The House should vote to remove Jeff’s “duress button and replace it with a “Lunatic’s button.”

And lastly, if someone took the time to text Jeff’s I.Q., I believe it would at best be in the low 80s.

As we speak (ca. April 2021), Jeff continues to provide incompetent services on the taxpayer’s dime to the good folks in Nebraska.
