Attorney Alexander Zeno of Washington, DC; ethical dwarf

The state of Massachusetts presented Alexander Zeno with a law license in 2006.

The Board of Overseers found Alexander guilty of the following misconduct.

The U.S. District Court of Puerto Rico previously suspended Alexander for three month, a suspension that was upheld by the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Alex’s misconduct involved disciplinary complaints filed against him by two judges.

One of the complaints involved Alex’s threat to file a complaint against a judge as a way of pressuring her to approve his petition for payment of fees he had filed regarding his representation of an indigent defendant. The second compliant related to Alex’s conduct in a case wherein the judge said he engaged in insulting, disrespectful and intemperate behavior, which was disruptive to the court proceedings.

Alex had the chutzpah to claim that he had a 1st Amendment free speech right to engage in disrespectful and insulting conduct toward judges he appeared before. Clearly Alex missed his calling as a standup comedian.

As a result of his misconduct before the two judges, Alex was suspended for 15-months from further practicing before those two courts.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Massachusetts Board of Overseers punished Alexander him by suspending his law license for 90 days.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) continues to practice law in Washington, D.C. and Massachusetts.
