Attorney Tamara Benefield of Beverly Hills, CA; ethical troll

The state of California provided Tamara Shari Benefield with a law license in 2003 after she graduated from Loyola University School of Law in Los Angeles.

The State Bar Court found Tammy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to render accounting to 2 individual clients regarding her receipt of a $25,000 check from the client, of which $10,000 were advanced fees paid on behalf of her client
• Failed to render accounting to 2 individual clients regarding her receipt of a $25,000 check from the client, of which $15,000 were advanced fees paid on behalf to her client
• Failed to respond to numerous requests from her client to provide them with accurate accountings of how she had dealt with and/or spent their funds
• Improperly entered into agreement with former client, that required, that the client agree to withdraw a disciplinary complaint she had filed with the State Bar

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Tammy by gifting her with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Tammy practices her brand of law with Benefield Law at 9454 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, California.
