Attorney Joel Douglas Froneberger Waco, TX; greedy loser

The state of Texas presented Joel Douglas Froneberger with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

The District 6 Grievance Committee found Joel guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Joel and another attorney agreed to handle all of client’s legal matters within a one-year period

for a flat fee and the client’s grandmother signed over a warranty deed as collateral for the fee. The grandmother and the client did not pay the agreed flat fee and Joel and the other attorney subsequently sold the property.

Joel and the other attorney did not remit the unearned portion of the sales proceeds to the grandmother at the conclusion of the representation.

Joel was ordered to pay $89,187 in restitution to the former client [victim].

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Joel by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 24-month suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Joel.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Joel practices his brand of law in Waco, Texas.
