Attorney Don Stirling of West Valley, UT; slacker, loser

The State of Utah presented Don Carlos Stirling with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from the University of Denver School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Donnie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to communicate with his client
  • Failed to deposit client funds into attorney trust account
  • Made unauthorized charge to client’s debit account
  • Told his client he would file guardianship and send the client the copies, but he failed to do send copies to client and to file documents with the court
  • Client sued Donnie in small claims court a obtained a judgment against him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Donnie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year term of probation.

As we speak (ca. April 2021), Donnie practices his brand of law with the Stirling Law Office PLLC at 3056 South in West Valley, Utah.
