Attorney Marla Rawnsley of Deland, FL; ethical dwarf

The state of Florida provided Marla Jayne Rawnsley with a law license in 1987 after she graduated from Pace University School of Law.

FYI: Nova Southeastern is ranked as the 170^th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Florida State Bar found Marla guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to timely notify client’s prior counsel of settlement and receipt of funds in trust on client’s behalf after having been previously notified of prior counsel’s asserted entitlement of fees and costs for his prior representation

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme punished Marla by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of $1,349.20.
