Attorney Thomas Rodriguez of Des Moines, IA; ethical troll, repeat offender

The state of Iowa presented Thomas Rodriguez with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from the University of Iowa School of Law.

The Iowa Supreme Court Disciplinary Board found Tommy guilty of engaging the following misconduct.

Tommy’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree 

• Failed to provide contracted for services in auto accident case on behalf of his clients
• Ignored all client efforts to contact him

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Tommy’s 2nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in sexual relationship with a client
• Girlfriend arrested for third degree theft and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Used State Public Defender credentials to have explicit jail conversations with his jail girlfriend
• It was discovered that Tommy had at least 800 text messages with his jailed girlfriend
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Divulged confidential client information
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme Court punished Tommy by gifting him with a second complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. Septembr 2021), Tommy practices his brand of law at 1500 Crown Colony Court in Des Moines, Iowa.
