Attorney Margaret E. Edwards of Corpus Christi, TX; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Margaret E. Edwards with a law license in 1991 after she graduated from St. Mary’s University of School of Law.

The District 11 Grievance Committee found Margie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to deposit and hold settlement funds in trust
• Failed to respond to reasonable requests for information from clients

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Margie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 4-year suspension of her law license. 

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court did not mete out any meaningful punishment to Margie.
