Attorney Paul Kulig of Rutland, VT; ethical troll

The state of Vermont presented Paul S. Kulig with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Cornell University School of Law.

The Vermont Professional Responsibility Board found Paulie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Solicited a substantial testamentary gift from a current client by recommending that the client bequeath and devise her personal and real property to him
  • Prepared a Quitclaim Deed and Last Will and Testament bequeathing and devising a client’s entire estate to him, including a home in Rutland
  • Failed to obtain informed consent in writing given the significant risk that the client would be materially limited by Billy’s personal interest in the client’s estate

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Vermont Supreme Court punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Paulie fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.fgmvt.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2021), Paulie practices his brand of law with Facey Goss & McPhee PC at 71 Allen Street in Rutland, Vermont.
