Attorney Charles L. Thorn of Ft. Worth, TX; ethical dwarf, slacker

The state of Texas presented Charles L. Thorn with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Baylor University Law School.

In late 2011 a panel of the District 14 Grievance Committee found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.
  1. Neglected a legal matter entrusted to him
  2. Frequently failed to completely carry out client obligations
  3. Failed to inform client about the status of her divorce case
  4. Failed to respond to requests for information from divorce client
  5. Refused to provide requested information to Grievance Committee in violation of the Rules
The findings of the Grievance Committee clearly establish that Charlie cannot be trusted to competently handle legal matters for clients. The findings further prove that Charlie basically thumbed his nose at the grievance investigators by failing to provide it with requested information.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with fully probated two-year suspension of his law license. Put simply, Charlie didn’t receive any actual punishment for his misconduct.

As we speak (ca. May 2012) Charlie continues to practice law in the greater Fort Worth, Texas area.
