Attorney Ty Gibson of Houston, TX; ethical troll

The state of Texas presented Ty Alexander Gibson with a law license in 2012 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

FYI: South Texas College of Law is ranked as the 177^th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The District 4 Grievance Committee found Ty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Ordered/encouraged, or permitted conduct by a non-lawyer that would've been a violation of the Texas Disciplinary Rules if engaged in by Ty
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, dishonesty, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Employed a nonlawyer to solicit and refer prospective clients
• Accepted or continued employment in a matter when that employment was procured in a manner contrary to the disciplinary rules
• Committed a criminal act that reflects adversely on his honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Ty by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 4-month suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Ty and his firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.gibsonhillpc.com. Apparently, they chose to conceal this relevant information for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.
