The state of Texas presented Robert L. Hoffman with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.

The 134th District Court of Dallas County found Bobby guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide client with written fee agreement
• Ordered to pay $7,000 in restitution

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 12-month suspension of his law license and assessed investigative costs of $4,149.50.
