Attorney Don Carlos Jr. of New York City; lying tax cheat

The state of New York presented Don Anthony Carlos Jr. with a law license in 19923 after he graduated from Pace University School of Law.

FYI: Pace University is ranked as the 158th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Appellate Division, First Department Grievance Committee found Donnie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Negligently misappropriated (stole) client funds
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Used escrow account to shield funds from collection by tax authorities
  • Failed to maintain required bookkeeping records
  • Provide false deposition testimony and false statements to ethics investigators (perjury]
  • Failed to pay income taxes

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the First Department Grievance Committee punished Donnie by gifting him with a complimentary 2-year suspension of his law license.

And lastly,as one would suspect, Benny and fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.bratterlaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2021), Donnie practices his brand of law at 261 West 35th Street in New York, New York.
