Attorney Leigh Bernstein of New York City; fraudulent scammer

The state of New York presented Kathleen R. Bradshaw with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Bridgeport School of Law.

The Appellate Division, First Department Grievance Committee found Leigh guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Prepared and submitted a fabricated summons and complaint to deceive a claims adjuster that he had timely commenced an action in the hopes of finalizing a settlement offer
  • Intentionally failed to disclose to his client that he had missed statute of limitations and the delay in the settlement was due to the claims adjuster’s investigation into the false summons and complaint
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the First Department Grievance Committee punished Leigh by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Leigh and his firm fail to disclose the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.bernllp.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. February 2021), Leigh practices his brand of law with Marc J. Bern & Partners at 60 East 42nd Street in New York, New York.
