Attorney Roland Kauffman of Dalton, OH; scofflaw, slacker

The state of Ohio presented Roland Brice Kauffman with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Ohio Northern University School of Law.

FYI: Ohio Northern University School of Law is ranked as the 161^st best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Roland guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to obtain prior probate court approval in paying himself $28,200
• Failed to obtain prior probate court approval in paying himself $16,450
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Made an agreement for, charged, or collected an illegal or clearly excessive fee (cheater)
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Knowingly disobeyed obligation under rules of a tribunal (Up yours, said Roland!)
• Failed to take reasonable steps to protect client interests upon termination
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Roland!)

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Roland by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.
