Attorney Matthew Simpson of Wadsworth, OH; ethical gremlin

The state of Ohio presented Matthew David Simpson with a law license in 2015 after he graduated from Cleveland State University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Ohio Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another]
  • Divulged confidential client information
  • Repeatedly shared confidential client information with his wife, including information protected by the attorney-client privilege

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Matty by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Matty fails to disclose the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.pmhmlaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2021), Matty practices his brand of law with Palecek, McIlvaine, Hoffmann & Morse Co. at 273 Main Streetin Wadsworth, Ohio.
