Attorney Christie Smith of Greensboro, NC; lying scammer

The state of North Carolina presented Christie Bynum Smith with a law license in 2007 after she graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Christie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Christie falsely represented to her cyber insurance carrier, to the FBI, and to the Grievance Committee that she telephoned the seller in a real estate transaction to verify wiring instructions before she made a wire disbursement of the seller’s proceeds.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Carolina State Bar punished Christie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Christie practices her brand of law at 2005 Boulevard Street in Greensboro, North Carolina.
