Attorney Bruce Nelson of Draper, UT; ethical ogre, repeater

The State of Utah presented Bruce L. Nelson with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from the Brigham Young (BYU) University School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme found Bruce guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to communicate with his client
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Violated or attempted to violate rules of conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Failed to decline/terminate representation when required to do so
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Failed to comply with orders of disciplinary authority (Screw you, said Bruce!)
• Submitted false evidence and made false statements
• Lacked good faith effort to make restitution or to rectify the consequences of his misconduct

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Bruce’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously was provided with a complimentary reprimand for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Bruce by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license.   

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Bruce practices his brand of law with Weber Law LLC at 11629 South 700 East in Draper, Utah.
