Judge Michael Pollard of Tucson, AZ; ethical troll

The state of Arizona provided Michael P. Pollard with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Judge Pollard guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • In June 2020, Mikey spoke with court staff after a court session had concluded, and he revealed that he had once
  • studied to become a priest, and when he was asked why he left the priesthood, Mikey stated there was “no pan ocha” (Spanish slang for the female anatomy)
  • Failed to act at all times in a manner that promotes public confidence in the independence, integrity, and
  • impartiality of the judiciary
  • Failed to avoid impropriety and the appearance of impropriety
  • Failed in his performance of his judicial duties to not, by his words or conduct manifest bias or prejudice
  • By his acts, failed to not engage in harassment, including, but not limited to bias, prejudice, or harassment based upon race, sex, gender, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, age, sexual orientation, marital status,
  • socioeconomic status, or political affiliation
  • Failed to take appropriate steps to assure that court staff, court officials, or others subject to his direction did not engage in biased conduct
  • Failed to be patient, dignified, and courteous to litigants, jurors, witnesses, lawyers, court staff, court
  • officials, and others with whom he dealt with in his official capacity

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Mikey continues to practice his so-called brand of jurisprudence as a Senior Special Magistrate Judge in Tucson, Arizona.
