Attorney Cathleen Shine of Harrisonville, MO; slacker, loser

The state of Missouri presented Cathleen Shine with a law license in 1977 after she graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Cathy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to promptly comply with client information requests
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted, or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on Disciplinary Counsel punished Cathy by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of $1000.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Cathy practices her brand of law at 113 East Wall Street in Harrisonville, Missouri.
