Attorney Renee Campbell of Los Angeles, CA; cheating loser

The state of California presented Renee Lillie Campbell with a law license in 1982 after she graduated from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law.

The State Bar Court found Renee guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Breached fiduciary duties she owed to her clients
  • Due to client’s age and thinking disabilities, she was a highly vulnerable victim of Renee’s conduct
  • Engaged in multiple acts of wrongdoing
  • Failed to comply with California laws
  • Engaged in gross negligence in representation of her clients
  • Failed to communicate with her clients
  • Failed to inform elderly client of her rate and the amounts she was withdrawing from the client’s savings account
  • Failed to provide elderly client with accounting of her work
  • Failed to properly handle her client trust account
  • Failed to maintain required records of client funds
  • Charged an attorney-level rate—$365 per hour—for tasks such as taking client shopping; running errands for her; talking about personal, family matters on the phone; and dining with her
  • Overreaching for exorbitant fees so disproportionate to services performed as to shock conscience (but not enough to permanently disbar Renee)
  • Not prudent for Renee to spend client’s money at such a rapid pace when she could have simply hired someone else to perform some of these menial tasks to protect her clients’ savings
  • Renee benefited greatly by charging her client as she did and cannot show that her actions were fair to her client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Renee by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Renee and her firm fail to disclose the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.intldisputelaw.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal said relevant facts from prospective clients to prevent limiting their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Renee practices her brand of law with the Law Office of Renee L. Campbell at 624 South Grand Avenue in Los Angeles, California.
