The State Bar Court found Peyman guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Breached fiduciary duty owed to client
• Improper communication with party represented buy counsel
• Intentionally misled client to believe that he had recorded their conversation and then threatened to use the recording in a defamation suit
• Failed to promptly release client’s papers and property after she terminated him
• Many of the agreements’ terms were not fair and reasonable because they were contrary to the client’s interests, with her receiving nothing or truly little in return
• Failed to disclose the agreements in a manner that would be understood by springing them on Solheim without warning, despite her
• requests for her husband and her to review them beforehand
• Failed to advise client in the agreements that she could seek an independent lawyer
• Failed to provide client with a reasonable opportunity to consult with another attorney when he pressured her to sign the agreements
• Improperly attempt to limit his professional malpractice liability to his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Peyman by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
