The Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance found Nell guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

After Amanda Howard’s arrest for prostitution, Frankie called the investigator and asked him if he could “help him out” on the prostitution charge against Howard because he knew her family

On the same day that the investigator told Frankie he would not help him out, Frankie sua sponte (on his own initiative, remanded Howard’s prostitution charge to the file

After Barry Jones was arrested and charged with marijuana possession, a pastor at Frankie’s church asked him if he could help Jones

After the pastor contacted Frankie, contacted the investigator to find out whether Jones was charged with a misdemeanor or felony

Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

Conduct brought his office into disrepute

Failed to preserve and protect the integrity of the judiciary

Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Mississippi Supreme Court punished Frankie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $500.00 fine.
As we speak (ca. April 2021) Frankie continues to practice his brand of jurisprudence as a judge of the Hinds County Justice Court in Jackson, Mississippi.
