Former Judge Gregory Glennon of Burlington, VT; ethical troll

The state of Vermont provided Gregory Glennon with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the New England School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Peter Shumlin was duped into appointing Greg as a judge for the Vermont Probate Division in Chittenden County on July 8, 2016. Greg did not receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Burlington area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Gregory Glennon is a judge for the Vermont Probate Division in Chittenden County. He was appointed by Democratic Governor Peter Shumlin on July 8, 2016, to replace Judge Susan Fowler.[1]

• Failed to avoid impropriety and/or the appearance of impropriety
• Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
• Greg’s conduct could have placed attorneys appearing before him and who he contacted in the uncomfortable position of having to assist his campaign in some capacity
• Directly contacted attorneys, including attorneys who were involved in probate matters in Chittenden County and appeared before him
• Asked attorneys who appeared before him if they would be willing to be a part of a campaign committee, he was forming for his reelection

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Vermont Supreme Court punished Greg by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Greg continues to practice his brand of jurisprudence and ethics as a judge on the Chittenden County Probate Court.
