Attorney John A. Birdsall of Milwaukee; criminal, loser
The state of Wisconsin provided John A. Birdsall with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
The Office of Lawyer Regulation (OLR) found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct:
The criminal conduct involved two count of being party to the crime of violating court orders. The criminal charges were later amended to charges to criminal contempt of court.
The criminal contempt charges came about while Johnny was representing a client on felony charges relating to domestic abuse, including charges he choked her, hit her head against the steering wheel of a car, and pointed a gun at her head and pulled the trigger but the gun failed to fire. A circuit court ordered that the client have no contact with the victim, an order that Johnny thumbed his nose at and which led to the criminal contempt charges.
As a consequence of This non-punishment after they stated they were “greatly troubled” by Johnny’s misconduct. The comics on the Court went on to say that it “condemns it [Johnny’s conduct] in the strongest terms possible.”
As we speak (ca. May 2012) John practices law with Birdsall Law Offices SC at 135 West Wells Street in Milwaukee.
