Judge Ursula Hall of Houston, TX; ethical troll

The State of Texas provided Ursula A. Hall with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

The State Commission on Judicial Conduct found Ursula guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act on a June 20, 2019 motion to recuse her from a case until September 26, 2019
  • Failed to accord to every person who has a legal interest in a proceeding, or that person’s lawyer, the right to be heard according to law (aka, “due process”)
  • Failed to shall hear and decide matters to her
  • Engaged in willful and/or persistent that was clearly inconsistent with the proper performance of a judge’s duties
  • Willfully and persistent, and unjustifiably failed to timely execute the business of the court
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

Apparently, Judge Hall believes that “due process” is the means by which the grass becomes moist in the a.m. in the Houston area.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Ursula by gifting her with a complimentary public warning and order of additional education.

As we speak (ca. April 2021), Ursula continues to sit as a 165th Civil District Court, Houston, Harris County, Texas.
