Judge Wilson Campbell of Trenton, NJ; ethical gremlin

The state of New Jersey provided Wilson J. Campbell with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Howard University School of Law.

The Supreme Court of New Jersey Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Wilson guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Released a criminal defendant on her own recognizance even though Wilson recognized her to be his cousin
  • Knowingly engaged in an egregious conflict of interest
  • Failed to promote public confidence in the impartiality and integrity of the judiciary

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Wilson by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Wilson practices his brand of jurisprudence as the Presiding Jude of the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Mercer Vicinage in Trenton, New Jersey.
