Attorney Georgialee Lang of British Columbia; ethical goblin

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Georgialee Alida Lang (GAL) with a law license in 1989 after she graduated from the University of British Columbia School of Law.

The British Columbia Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Georgialee guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Committed professional misconduct while representing herself in a review of her bill before a deputy registrar of the Supreme Court
• Engaged in settlement discussions with the opposing party in the absence of his nearby lawyer and without that lawyer’s consent
• Engaged in an egregious conflict of interest

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Georgialee by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of $5,820.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Georgialee and her firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.georgialeelang.com. Apparently, Georgialee and the firm chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.
