Attorney Morris Fischer of Silver Spring, MD; cheating slacker

The state of Maryland presented Morris Eli Fischer with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Morris guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)  
• Filed client lawsuit late
• Failed to promptly refund an unearned fee (cheater)
• Negligence led to client’s case being dismissed
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to advise the client, in writing, of the desirability to seek advice of independent counsel in connection with his actions

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Morrisby gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Morris practices his brand of law with Morris E. Fischer LLC at 8720 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland.
