Attorney Michael Blumenthal of Landover, MD; ethical gnome

The state of Maryland presented Michael S. Blumenthal with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Catholic University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) found Mickey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to establish a definitive fee agreement with his client which led to his failing to appear at her trial
• Failed to place partial payments from his client into an attorney trust account until such funds were earned

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Maryland Supreme punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand. 

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Mikey practices with Blumenthal & Associates LLP at 8201 Corporate Drive in Landover, Maryland.
