Attorney Ivan DeVoren of Pittsburgh, PA; convicted druggie

The state of New Jersey presented Ivan Stewart DeVoren with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law. Ivan also received a law license to practice in Pennsylvania in 1991 and Ohio in 2014.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Joey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty to disorderly conduct
  • Pled guilty to unlawfully discharged a firearm in a residence
  • Pled guilty to two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance
  • Pled guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana
  • Pled guilty two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Ivan by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. December 2020), Ivan practices his brand of law with Devoren Law at 18 Azimuth Court in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
