Judge Stephen Hopkins of Phoenix, AZ; bullying loser

The state of Arizona presented James Patterson with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law. 

The Commission on Judicial Conduct found Stevie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a pattern of judicial misconduct
• Failed to show due respect to litigants who were unfortunate enough to have to appear before him
• Repeatedly act discourteous and impatient in his treatment of defendants, their attorneys, and prosecutors
• Shouted at Ms. Valenzuela when she became "emotional and distraught" during a settlement conference
• Shouted at Valenzuela and angrily proclaimed 'We're done here!' and exited the courtroom"
• After newly appointed counsel asked for a continuance, Stevie raised his voice at the attorney, threatened to hold him in contempt of court, called his sentencing memoranda "ridiculous" and continued to angrily interject his disapproval as the attorney attempted to speak on his client's behalf
• Haas claimed Hopkins was "visibly angry" at Salazar's new attorney during a court proceeding on June 5, 2019. The defense attorney asked for a continuance of the trial date since Salazar's former lawyer was leaving the public defender's office. The prosecutor agreed with the request.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Stevie by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2020), Stevie the Bully continues to sit as a Maricopa County Family Superior Court judge in Phoenix, Arizona.
