The state of New York provided Edmund V. Caplicki Jr. with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law.

The New York Commission on Judicial Conduct found Eddie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to maintain professional competence in the law (moron)
• Sent letter on official court stationery Claverack Town Court requesting favorable treatment for defendant charged with speeding
• Sent letter on official court stationery Princeton Town Court requesting favorable treatment for defendant charged with speeding
• Sent letter on official court stationery Wappinger Town Court requesting favorable treatment for defendant charged with speeding
• Sent letter on official court stationery to Judge Horace Sawyer of Goshenon Town Court requesting favorable treatment on behalf of a defendant charged with speeding
• Sent letter on official court stationery to Judge Joseph Thomson of Cornwall Town Court requesting favorable treatment on behalf of a defendant charged with speeding
• Sent letter on official court stationery to Mrs. Johnson of Clarkstown Town Court requesting favorable treatment on behalf of a defendant charged with speeding
• Sent letter on official court stationery to Judge Thomas Byrne of Newburgh Town Court requesting favorable treatment on behalf of a defendant charged with speeding
• Engaged in illegal ex parte (one-sided) communications
• Failed to observe high standards of conduct so that integrity and independence of the judiciary would be preserved
• Failed to comply with the law (scofflaw)
• Allowed family and other relationships to influence his judicial conduct
• Convery or permitted others to convey the impression that they are in a special position to influence his judicial actions

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

Eddie’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Made demeaning, derisive and otherwise inappropriate remarks about a female attorney
• Asked three defendants during court proceedings if their attorney was cute and had a nice butt
• Recounted in open court statements about the attorney in her presence that a prior defendant had stated that she was cute and had a nice butt

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission punished Eddie by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Eddie continues to sit as a Justice of the LaGrange Town Court, Dutchess County in Lagrangeville, New York.
