Solicitor Richard Peters of New Zealand; ethical troll

The Law Society of New Zealand presented Richard Andrew Peters with a law license in 1963 after he graduated from the University of Waikato School of Law.   

The New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Breached his duty of confidentiality to a client whom he had represented as Duty Solicitor
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Failed to act in accordance with all fiduciary duties and duties of care owed by lawyers to their clients
• Failed to uphold the rule of law
• Previous finding of unsatisfactory conduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Barrister/Solicitor Misfits sitting on the New Zealand Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary censure.
