Attorney Eva Lee of Raleigh, NC; ethical goblin

The state of North Carolina presented Eva F. Lee with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Stevie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Sent an email to an attorney serving as guardian of an estate, to outside entities, and to the media containing baseless allegations of malfeasance by the guardian and containing other assertions that were false or without legal and/or factual basis
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• New Hanover Superior Court convicted Eva of indirect contempt of court after it determined that Lee’s conduct was designed to deter the guardian from complying with a court order to sell the ward’s property
• Publication of frivolous allegations against the guardian had no substantial purpose other than to harass or burden him
• Contemptuous conduct needlessly consumed court time and resources
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Eva gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. November 2020) Eva practices her brand of law with Ethical Tax Planning in Raleigh, North Carolina.
