Attorney Isabel Guzman-Uresty of Chapel Hill, NC; ethical goblin

The state of North Carolina presented Isabel Lin Guzman-Uresty with a law license in 2002 after she graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Isabel guilty of the following misconduct.

• Employed disbarred attorney as her office manager
• Hired disbarred attorney’s wife as a legal assistant
• Provided excessive compensation to the wife and disbarred attorney
• Illegally shared legal fees with nonlawyers

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Isabel gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. November 2020) Isabel practices her brand of law at 265 Holly Ridge Road in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
