Attorney Yanky Brenner of Lakewood, NJ; ethical troll

The state of California presented Yanky Brenner with a law license in 2006 after he graduated from Rutgers University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Vinny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Failed to promptly notify clients or third parties of funds in which they had an interest and to promptly disburse said funds
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Failed to promptly notify clients or third parties of funds in which they had an interest and to promptly disburse said funds
• Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
• Failed to promptly return to his clients and third parties the difference between estimated and actual recording fees
• Retained the excess recording fees as an undisclosed service fee, without his clients’ knowledge or consent
• Overestimated recording fees and retained the excess funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Yanky by gifting him with a complimentary censure.  

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Yanky practices his brand of law with the Law Office of Yanky Brenner at 15 America Avenue in Lakewood, New Jersey.
