Attorney Kevin Cure of Galena, KS; serial drunken convict

The state of Kansas presented Kevin T. Cure with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law.

The Kansas Disciplinary Board found Kevin guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Convicted of driving under the influence (DUI)
  • Drove to courthouse to appear as municipal prosecutor while drunk
  • Municipal court judge, a defense attorney, the mayor, and the police chief all witnessed Kevin's demeanor and concluded he was intoxicated
  • Arrested for driving under the influence while on probation for prior DUI conviction, a felony
  • Failed to report felony conviction to State Bar

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Kansas Supreme Court punished Kevin by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Kevin practices at 603 South Main Street in Galena, Kansas.
