Judge Billy Williams of San Augustine, TX; scofflaw, Jesse James Wannabee

The state of Ohio presented John Anthony Frenden with a law license in 1964 after he graduated from Case Western University, School of Law.

The Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct found Billy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Brandished his gun during an argument over his driving speed in a residential neighborhood with Matthew Cannon
• Displayed his gun twice while interacting with a man who thought Billy was driving too fast in front of his home
• During the first confrontation, Cannon approached Billy’s car and saw Billy holding his gun in the palm of his hand against the steering wheel
• Cannon asked Billy to slow down, and Billy said he would be back
• Billy returned 10 minutes later, exited his vehicle, and engaged in a heated exchange with Cannon
• Billy asked Cannon what he needed, and Cannon said he was concerned about his driving and the safety of his 12-year-old son
• During the exchange, Cannon said he objected to Billy brandishing his gun in the earlier interaction, which led to Billy taking his handgun from his pocket and asking, “Is this what you are talking about?”
• Williams allegedly took his handgun from his pocket and asked, “Is this what you are talking about?”
• In brandishing his gun, Billy violated the law on concealed weapons
• Failed to comply with the law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
