Attorney Katharina Devanney of Medina, OH; cheating slacker

The State of Ohio provided Katharina Eileen Devanney with a law license in 1998 after she graduated from Case Western University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Cathy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to promptly deliver to client all papers and property client entitled too after termination
  • Failed to refund any part of a fee paid in advance that had not been earned (cheater)
  • Engaged in conduct, involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Client obtained small claims judgment against Kathy for $1,105 representing unearned fee she refused to refund

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Kathy by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. October 2020), Cathy practices with the Law Office of Katharina Devanney, LLC at 6266 Hollow Lane in Medina, Ohio.
