Attorney Gary Vick Jr. of Parma, OH; ethical ogre

The State of Ohio provided Gary Allen Vick Jr. with a law license in 1999 after he graduated Cleveland State University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Gary guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct that is prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to reasonably consult with his client about how the client’s objectives are to be accomplished
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to promptly deliver client papers to client upon termination
  • Failed to advise client of case management conference
  • Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal (Screw you, said Gary!)
  • Failed to comply with legally proper discovery request from opposing party
  • Failed to perform any legal work of value for client Dobbs and owes him $3,500
  • Failed to deposit client advance fee of $3,500 into trust account
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators(Up Yours, said Gary!)
  • Failed to appear at court-scheduled case management conference on client’s behalf
  • Failure to appear at case management conference led the court to dismiss client’s complaint without prejudice
  • Failed to advise client the court had dismissed his case
  • Failed to advise client that opposing party had filed motion for monetary sanctions to be imposed against Gary his client
  • Trial Court judge-imposed sanction of $3,385 for fees and costs to opposing party due to Gary’s failure to comply court-ordered discovery
  • Client successfully sued Gary for legal malpractice and obtained a judgement against him for $47,790.82

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Gary by the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. September 2021), Gary practices with Vick Law LLC at 5323 Pearl Road in Parma, Ohio.
