Attorney Ross Hubbard of Tigard, OR; ethical goblin

The state of Oregon presented Rose L. Hubbard with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from Northwestern University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Ross guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Misconduct involved multiple offenses
• Failed to promptly notify third person of receipt of property
• Failed to return third-person property on request
• Failed to keep disputed property separate until the dispute is resolved
• Failed to notify Client of her receipt of the excess funds
• Failed to deliver excess funds to client
• Failed to recognize the excess funds as being in dispute
• Failed to retain disputed funds in her trust awaiting instructions for disbursement when the dispute was resolved

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Ross by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
