Today’s “Nutcase” Award Winner
Recently, some of Gov. Corbett’s fellow nutcases in the Pennsylvania legislature passed an amendment to Title 52 (Oil and Gas) Statutes that related to a state-maintained registry of the names of chemicals and gases used in fracking. Fracking is the process used by energy companies to force natural gas out of deep wells by forcing massive amounts of water and chemicals into the ground.
This asinine legislation prohibits physcians who learn of the chemicals being used from disclosing that information to their patients as a cause or possible cause of their illness. Put simply, this is nothing more than an illegal “gag” order in my opinion. Apparently, the lapdogs for the energy industry in the state legislature are ignorant as to the meaning of the 1st Amendment.
 Hopefully, Gov. Corbett was reimbursed by the Oil and Gas industries operating in Pennsylvania for the cost he incurred in purchasing a pair of industrial strength knee pads before he cheerfully signed this woeful legislation into law.
Of course this cost likely pails in comparison to what Gov. Corbett spends annually on purchases of Chap-Stick.
What’s next for Tommy and his Cadre of Loons sitting in Harrisburg? Maybe they’ll pass a law making it a felony for anyone to tell a wife that her husband is cheating on her, especially if he’s an elected official. Just another way of disproving the sham claim that there is a War on Women!
Congrats Tommy; keep up the good work! We should let everyone know of your amazing record as one of America’s most accomplished Nutcases, you are far too humble.
